2 Blondes, 1 Redhead & a Reviewer

First post from Traci

Hi everybody!! I’m so happy to be here, at our new site – thank you for coming to check us out. Normally I would at least attempt to follow the babe blog topic of the week, but I have two seconds before I am meeting Heather Graham. Kathleen Pickering.Michael Meeske and Theresa Davant to caravan to Orlando for Sluethfest!

I am so excited about this conference – not only do I get to play in Heather’s band as a zombie back up singer, but I get to hang out with Charlaine Harris (not that we are bffs, or that she would even be able to pick me out of a crowd, lol) but we will be rubbing elbows, and I am psyched!! I loved her Shakespeare series, the one she did before Sookie got so hot.

I know Babe Rhonda will be at Sluethfest, and a bunch of other Florida Romance Writers, too – we like the Mystery community!

I will try to keep a running tab of cool things going on via twitter and facebook – have a great wednesday, everybody,

ps – I will figure out the book image later!

What’s your type?

First, welcome to the new home of the BabesinBookland.  We’re so glad you moved with us!

This question actually relates very well to writing.  Knowing the different personality types can help you get to know your character and craft scenes appropriate to their style.  So I took this test (it was quick, maybe 3 minutes):

All I could think about when I got my results was ‘How did it know?’  It pegged me from my strengths down to the worst of my weaknesses.  This is what the test said about me:

You have a head for ideas – and you are good at improving systems.
Logical and strategic, you prefer for everything in your life to be organized.
You tend to be a bit skeptical. You’re both critical of yourself and of others.
Independent and stubborn, you tend to only befriend those who are a lot like you.

In love, you are always striving to improve your relationship.
You have strong ideas of what love should be like.

At work, you excel in figuring out difficult tasks. People think of you as “the brain.”
You would make an excellent scientist, engineer, or programmer.

How you see yourself: Reasonable, knowledgeable, and competent

When other people don’t get you, they see you as: Aloof, controlling, and insensitive

I’m not so sure about the scientist part, I’m not a fan of math or science in general, but I get the analogy.  Not sure about the brains part either.  I’ve had my share of dumb blonde moments.  I bookmarked the quiz and in the future I think I’ll give it to my protagonists and villains just to flesh out their character.  Flaws are what make people interesting, so if I answered some of the questions differently, I’d get a whole different set of values and traits.  At least it’s worth trying.

Have you found a personality type quiz on the net you’d like to share?
